Archon C. Ronald Belton Named Jacksonville, Florida, CFO
Shortly before taking office, Jacksonville, Florida’s Mayor Alvin Brown named Archon C. Ronald (Ronnie) Belton of Gamma Beta Boulé to serve as the city’s chief financial officer/assistant to the mayor. Archon Belton was confirmed for the position by the city council on August 23, 2011.
Before his confirmation, Archon Belton was President and CEO of Riverplace Analytics, LLC, for five years. Prior to that, Archon Belton was executive vice president and chief compliance officer with Riverplace Capital Management, Inc., a position he held since 1998. Archon Belton began his career with Merrill Lynch, where he served as a senior financial consultant for twenty years. Archon Belton received his bachelor’s degree in sociology from Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia, in 1970.
Archon Belton is an active participant and board member of the Jacksonville political, economic, social and artistic community. He is former chairman of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Florida; a board member for Memorial Hospital of Jacksonville; a member of the National Eagle Scout Association and Boy Scouts of America and member of Leadership Florida – Class XI.
He was appointed by the governor where he served as a board member and chairman for the State Board of Community Colleges; was a board member and chairman for the Jacksonville Urban League; was a member of the Downtown Development Authority and served as a former board member for the Business Advisory Council for the University of North Florida.

I am confident that he will do an outstanding job for our city and our citizens.”
