Archon John Daniels Named to Internal Board of Best Lawyers

Archon John W. Daniels, Jr., of Beta Alpha Boulé, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and chairman of the law firm of Quarles & Brady, has been selected to serve on the Advisory Board of The Best Lawyers In America.

The Advisory Board includes 158 of the most distinguished private practice lawyers and general counsels in fifty-six countries. It was created to ensure that the Best Lawyers initiatives are responsive to both the concerns of the legal profession and the needs of clients.

A Harvard Law School graduate, Archon Daniels is a nationally-recognized real estate and business transactional lawyer. He has been listed in Best Lawyers since 1993 in the area of Real Estate Law for his representation of Fortune 500 entities, public pension funds and some of the largest life insurance and financial services companies in the nation.

In his position as chairman of Quarles & Brady, he has led the firm through a fundamental transformation, shifting from the traditional operational model upon which most major law firms are built to a client-centric, business-minded organization. He is one of the first African Americans to chair an AmLaw 200 firm.

Archon Daniels is well recognized in the legal community as well as the business community. In 2009 he was named “Lawyer of the Year” by the Milwaukee Bar Association and was inducted into the National Black Law Students Hall of Fame. In 2008 he received the Leadership Award from the National Bar Association and was recognized as one of the 50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America by The National Law Journal.

Best Lawyers bases its listings on an exhaustive study of the legal profession in which attorneys nationwide are asked to rank the top practitioners in their specialties in their jurisdictions. Because listings are based on the votes of other lawyers and cannot be solicited, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a particular honor.
