Grand Sire Harris on PBS Panel Moderated by CNN’s John King

On October 22, 2008, Grand Sire Archon Robert L. Harris took part in a high-level far-reaching discussion on America’s chief security issue, Energy Independence. Harris, an expert in energy issues as a result of his long association with the Pacific Gas an Electric Company, was one of several panelists on a program called “Securing Our Future: The Nuclear Alternative.” The program, moderated by CNN’s John King, was taped for later broadcast Public Broadcasting System (PBS) television stations across the nation. It will be shown first in South Carolina and then nationwide in the coming weeks on PBS stations in almost all states.

The Medical University of South Carolina sponsored the program, but the prime mover behind the project was Congressman (Archon) James Clyburn of Alpha Iota, Columbia, South Carolina who is the Majority Whip of the House of Representatives. Clyburn, like Grand Sire Archon Harris, argued that increased nuclear power production must be a central tenant in any plan to decrease America’s dependence on fossil fuels.

Alpha Iota’s Sire Archon Pat Hudson was a member of the audience at the taping, and Alpha Iota met with, and entertained, Grand Sire Archon Harris during his visit to Columbia.
